Who is responsible
konjac.bio is published by Konjac Bio Limited, Reception, Floor 3, Building 5, 657 Guangzhong Road, Shanghai, China. Konjac Bio Limited is the data controller for anything collected through this site. Questions go to hello@konjac.bio.
The short version
konjac.bio publishes articles about konjac. It does not sell consumer products on the site, does not run advertising, does not build advertising profiles, and does not sell or rent personal data to anyone. There is no login, no shopping cart, and no user account of any kind.
What we collect
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to count page views and see which topics people read. It sets its own cookies and receives your IP address, approximate location, device, browser, referring page, and the pages you open on this site. We use it in aggregate; we do not try to identify individual readers.
- Contact form. If you use the form on the contact page, we receive the name, email address, company, inquiry type, and message you type. That is sent to our mailbox so we can reply. Nothing more is attached to it.
- Server logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes request data (IP address, user agent, requested URL) to serve pages and to block abuse.
What we do not collect
- No accounts, passwords, or profiles.
- No payment or card data. Nothing is sold through this website.
- No advertising or remarketing pixels, and no cross-site ad tracking.
- No newsletter list built from browsing. We only email people who email us first.
Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and the function that forwards contact-form messages.
- Google Analytics 4 — site usage measurement.
- Resend — email delivery for contact-form messages.
- Google Fonts — typefaces are requested from Google's font servers when a page loads, which means Google receives the request.
How long we keep things
Contact-form emails stay in our mailbox as long as the inquiry is commercially relevant, and are deleted on request. Analytics data follows Google Analytics' own retention settings.
Your choices
You can block analytics with a browser setting, an extension, or a tracker-blocking DNS resolver; the site works normally without it. If you want the message you sent us deleted, or want to know what we hold about you, email hello@konjac.bio and we will handle it. Depending on where you live, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, and objection under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, or the CCPA. Asking us costs nothing and we do not require an account to honour a request.
Children
This site is written for buyers, formulators, and adults researching an ingredient. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
